Two levels of GR were cast: 0 and 50 ppm. The HPVDC process was set into steady state operation by pouring 20 parts. Following the warm up casting, 20 parts were produced for each level of GR in the melt. The main process parameters were a gate velocity of 50 m/s, die temperature of 200 °C and melt temperature of 760 °C.
